Combined with the project The Culture Worth Holding, Garden Of Bamboo Packaging is created with the hope to nurture and reserve the beauty of traditional and sustainable materials in Vietnam - Bamboo.
The packaging eliminates the use of plastic. Instead, we use handcrafted Bamboo to make the packaging. For packaging labels, we use the Risograph printing technique, in which inks are plant-based (formulated from soy and/or rice bran).
For centuries, Bamboo Trees have been used to make weapons to fight against foreign invaders, and it has also been an ultimate source of inspirations for many fairy tales and poems in Vietnam such as "The Hundred-knot Bamboo Tree"In Vietnam, we embrace Bamboo for its strength, flexibility and eternity. Therefore, there is also a common saying that:
"Bamboo Tree represents the people and nation of Vietnam."
With the design that takes inspiration from a fairy tale story book,
the packaging is made from bamboo by the Vietnamese artisans using a handicraft technique.
Bamboo is the fastest-growing woody plant, which can grow up to 24" (nearly 61 cm) a day. This makes bamboo materials highly renewable, promoting a healthier planet.
